If you can measure it, or send us a template, we can make it! Send us your dimensions and we’ll make your new mattress using our state of the art production process. Once your new mattress has been cut to fit your Corbeille bed frame, our team will make a zip off to fit. Custom Size Bed’s range of made to measure mattresses are ideal if you have a Corbeille French bed frame. Ordering a made to measure mattress for your French Corbielle end bed could not be simpler.
Step 1) Measure your bed / mattress
If you’re ordering a corbeille mattress, simply measure the sizes as shown on the diagram below.
If your mattress sits inside a frame or in-between walls, we recommend ordering a width and length 2CM smaller than the space it fits in. This gives a 1CM gap all the way round, perfect for tucking in sheets with ease!
If your mattress isn’t enclosed (such as a divan bed), then there’s no need to make any reductions to your measurements and you will get the best finish by going with exact dimensions.
The most comfortable mattress in your home
Whilst an antique french Corbeille frame can add character to your bedroom, you shouldn’t have to settle on an antique mattress just to get a perfect fit. All of our Corbeille mattresses are made to your specification using high quality materials, this helps to ensure you get the very best nights sleep possible. Your new Corbeille mattress is carefully constructed using 2 distinct layers for maximum comfort – A top layer of pressure relieving foam both softness, and a firmer much more rigid base for support.
What our customers are saying

Reasons to ditch springs
We’re experts when it comes to corbeille mattresses, so we’re always asked what’s best, new age memory foam, or traditional springs? Given the huge advances achieved with foam technology over the past decade, it’s no surprise that we’d always pick a memory foam corbeille mattress. Sprung mattresses can lose up to 16% of their support in the 1st year alone, not to mention that each spring pushes back into your body with equal force meaning pressure points are inevitable. A quality memory foam mattress on the other hand distributes body weight evenly and reduces pressure by up to 80%. Memory foam also offers no motion transfer or partner roll together helping you get a better nights sleep. When it comes to custom sizes for your corbeille mattress, memory foam wins again, with springs becoming somewhat problematic. You can’t have half a spring, so the size of your mattress has to be made in increments based on the size of each spring – not to mention that the added complexity results in higher production costs. Memory foam on the other hand can be cut to any size, and a simpler production process gives better value for money.

Carrying a new mattress up the stairs and / or into the bedroom is never an easy due to their bulky dimensions. With this reason in mind, all of our mattress are vacuum packed and rolled prior to dispatch. This prevents your mattress from being damaged in transit whilst making also makes installation much easier. Just lay the roll on the bed frame and carefully cut the plastic bag open. The next step is quite fascinating to watch as you watch the mattress unroll and expand into place! Typically you will need to leave your mattress in place for around 5-6 hours to allow for sufficient time to recover from vacuum packing.
